Welcome to the Taneytown Heritage and Museum Association, Inc. ~ In October 2014, the Taneytown Heritage Committee, established in 1986, and the Taneytown History Museum, established in 2004, merged to form Taneytown Heritage and Museum Association, Inc.(T.H.M.A.). T.H.M.A. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The Taneytown History Museum is located at 340 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, Maryland and is open from April through November. During the winter, the displays are changed.
The History Museum is officially closed for the winter season. We look forward to your visit when we open April 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. Come see our new display of antique toys and other new exhibits.
Museum Hours after reopening April 15, 2018 : Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular Saturday and Sunday hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. The hours may change to accommodate special events in Taneytown. Your group may visit at other times by appointment. Call 443-918-8687 or email THandMA@gmail.com
